Chalobah Set to Replace Guehi in England National Team
Trevoh Chalobah followed his brother Nathaniel in representing England, emerging as the 21st pair of siblings to be selected for the national team.
The Chelsea defender is likely to join up with the Three Lions selection to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to join the team for England's final World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, although it has yet to be confirmed.
The England team have already secured qualification for the upcoming competition.
Chalobah earned his initial invitation under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.
In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be left out from the team for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and additionally didn't call him up for the next October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an key influence in Chalobah's progress, having awarded him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.
Chalobah has appeared in almost every games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the Champions League.
Guehi picked up a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over AZ Alkmaar in their last match.
There are likely to be other inclusions to the selection. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has said that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) will withdraw from the England setup.
