Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an review of reports of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
