Rice's Recent Legal Issues
Rice was absent for the first six games of this NFL campaign following an league-mandated ban for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that left multiple people hurt. He was given a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
On the field, Rice concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs went 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a decade.
