According to a recent research, almost 20% of people aged 25-34 in the UK are employing AI tools to design their getaways.

Conversely, under three percent of those over 55 mention AI as a resource for vacation planning.

Research shared at a recently held tourism conference showed that the number of British people taking a vacation last year has nearly reached pre-pandemic rates.
Roughly 87% of respondents polled booked a break in the UK or overseas in the past year.
An increasing number of people cited a vacation as the primary luxury expense, valued more than entertainment, gadgets, and other pastimes, including during challenging financial periods.
AI Adoption Increases
A survey done in recent months revealed that double the number of people are using AI for travel arrangements than the previous year.
Currently, eight percent of those surveyed stated they depend on AI for inspiration, increasing from four percent in 2024.
Younger Tourists and Mental Health
The study also revealed that millennials were more inclined to consider a holiday as "vital for their wellbeing".
A significant ninety percent of these individuals shared this perspective, relative to the 80% general figure.

Younger travellers were also more inclined to select a provider, hotel, or destination based on its sustainability efforts.

Demands for Regulation in Travel Industry
The problems with too many visitors in Spanish destinations and other locations were linked to "illegal rentals" rather than major companies.
Experts highlighted appeals for officials to clamp down on examples where property managers lack a required authorization, health and safety certificate, or correct financial reporting.
When property managers are identified to not have the required permits and official paperwork, they face penalties. Failure to comply means jail time. All the illegal rentals will vanish quickly.
